From his first piece made from broken vintage pieces picked up at Portobello market in London in 2005, Jianhui has been creating his versatile sustainable fashion accessories from recycled materials for more than a decade. His hand crafted artistic pieces are not only loved by style icons such as Iris Apfel and Lily Tomlin, but also prestigious institutions such as MAD (Museum of Arts and Designs NYC), MoMA, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Jianhui believes that sustainability is not a trend, but a mission which makes our planet greener. His recycled leather collection won a sustainability award by NY Now in 2020. His latest eco-friendly collection, Aqua, entirely hand made from recycled plastic bottles and newspapers, has also ‘shocked’ consumers with its beauty.
